Finnish Building Services Industries and Trade (Talteka) welcomes the review of the Ecodesign and Energy Labelling Regulation 1253/2014 on ventilation units and the recently published roadmap. Talteka believes that the EU should act to further improve the regulation of ventilation units by reviewing its ecodesign and energy labelling requirements based on the study on the subject.

Regarding the policy options presented, Talteka finds option 3 to be the most appropriate to deliver these improvements.

Finnish Building Services Industries and Trade (Talteka) is a Finnish cooperation organization for industrial, economic and environmental issues within the building services industries and trade. Today the association has more than 40 member companies who represent well manufacturers in cold and arctic region of Europe. Talteka was founded at the beginning of 2004, following the merger of the Association of Finnish Manufacturers of Air Handling Equipment and the Council of HPAC Industries. In summer 2018 also the Finnish HVAC Technical Traders’ Association was merged to the association.
